Weaving together nearly two centuries of family history, this epic theatrical eventΒ charts the humble beginnings, outrageous successes, and devastating failure of the financial institution that would ultimately bring the global economy to its knees. In aΒ quintessential story of western capitalism, rendered through the lens of a single immigrant family, Simon Russell Beale,Β Adam Godley, andΒ Ben Miles portray the Lehman Brothers, their sons, and grandsons.
The Lehman Trilogy play is told in three parts, presented together as one piece of theatre.
Simon Russell Beale, a regular on the London stage, earned a 2004 Tony nomination for his Broadway debut in Jumpers and brought the laughs when he assumed the role of King Arthur in Monty Python's Spamalot in December 2005.
Adam Godley is a Tony Award nominee in his own right, scoring a nod for his turn as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in the 2011 revival of Anything Goes. He previously made his Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives.
