About Spamalot on Broadway

Find your grail! Musical comedy doesn't get royally funnier than Monty Python’s Spamalot, a spoof on the beloved 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Now, Spamalot returns to Broadway with a star-studded cast and promises belly laughs galore. The original, irreverent 2005 Broadway production won the Tony Award for Best Musical, and with a top-notch cast, tickets for the revival will be hot. Get Spamalot tickets on New York Theatre Guide.

The laugh-out-loud comedy Spamalot comes back to Broadway for the first time following a record-breaking, sold-out run at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post critic raved, “It is unfair to make me laugh this much! Spamalot is a tightly packed clown car speeding to musical theater nirvana.”

Directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, Spamalot on Broadway includes a number of stage favorites including Christopher Fitzgerald as Patsy, James Monroe Igleheart as King Arthur, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer as the Lady of the Lake, Ethan Slater as Prince Herbert, Jimmy Smagula as Bedevere, Michael Urie as Brave Sir Robin, and Nik Walker as Sir Galahad.

John du Prez and Eric Idle’s score — which won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album — is wildly infectious, immensely hummable, and as hilarious as Idle’s spoof-filled script.

The Spamalot musical retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, who lead a manic expedition complete with showgirls, cows, killer rabbits, and perhaps most exotic, French people. This outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously goofy story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake is a surefire audience pleaser as the king and his knights search for the Holy Grail and remind us that, no matter a journey’s difficulties, to “always look on the bright side of life.”
