Set against the backdrop of 1965 America, A Sign of the Times the musical explores a time of significant upheaval, with iconic songs like "Downtown," "Gimme Some Lovin'," and "Rescue Me" underscoring it all. Amid the Vietnam War, burgeoning civil rights and women's liberation movements, and the vibrant changes in New York City, the ambitious Cindy arrives in town, trying to find her place. Audiences are immersed in the ‘60s through Cindy's eyes as she explores her passion for photography, capturing the era's history.
A Sign of the Times previously enjoyed successful runs at Connecticut’s Norma Terris Theatre in 2016 and the Delaware Theatre Company in 2018, where the show played to sold-out houses every night. The show, with a book by Lindsey Hope Pearlman based on Richard J. Robin's original story, is directed by Gabriel Barre and promises a nostalgic trip back to an unforgettable decade.
A Sign of the Times features the talent of Broadway stars Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Paradise Square), two-time Drama Desk nominee Ryan Silverman (The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago), and Tony Award nominee Crystal Lucas-Perry (1776, Ain’t No Mo’).
