The show is eyeing a 2026 Broadway bow and casting and design teams are still to be announced. Currently, a search for Dolly is underway to find the musical’s star. As Parton herself said, “You'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try.”

Parton, Adam Speers for ATG Productions, and Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises produce this musical. “As the world knows, Dolly is a magical blend of talent, hard work, intelligence, charm, wit, and a gigantically big heart. I’m thrilled we’re going to bring her inspiring story to Broadway,” Speers said in a statement.
