Two starry new Off-Broadway plays have been announced for the spring season at the Minetta Lane Theatre, with cast members including Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award winner Hugh Jackman; Tony winner Liev Schreiber; Ella Beatty, and more.

Running from April 28 to June 18 is playwright Hannah Moscovitch's Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes, directed by Ian Rickson. Jackman stars as a celebrated novelist and professor struggling with the decline of his third marriage. When encounters 19-year-old Annie, a star student and fan of his, they veer into slippery territory as an attraction grows.

Also at the Minetta Lane, from May 10 to June 18, is Creditors, written by August Strindberg and adapted by Jen Silverman. Rickson also directs. Schreiber, Maggie Siff, and Justice Smith star in this show about struggling painter Adi whose creative spark is reignited by a magnetic stranger named Gustav, who is in turn captivated by Adi's wife, Tekla. As the trio talk into the night, they might transform or destroy each other through deception, seduction, and revelation.

The creative team for both productions includes scenic designers Brett J Banakis and Christine Jones, costume designer Ásta Hostetter, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman, and intimacy coordinator Ann James.

Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes and Creditors will run in repertory at the Minetta Lane Theatre. The plays are co-presented by Audible Theater and Together, a new production company founded by Jackman and Tony-winning theatre producer Sonia Friedman. Audible will also release both plays as audio dramas on its online platform following their Off-Broadway runs.

As part of a theatre accessibility initiative, 25% of all tickets to both productions will be distributed for free through various community partners in the tri-state area serving students, veterans, seniors, educators, and more. Another 25% of tickets will be made available day-of for $35 via digital lotteries and at the box office.
