'Just in Time,' starring Jonathan Groff, sets additional Broadway casting
As previously announced, the 2024 Tony Award winner will star as Bobby Darin in the new musical about the 20th-century teen idol, set to his greatest hits.
It's time for casting! Just in Time on Broadway, starring Jonathan Groff as Bobby Darin, has named new cast members performing in the show at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Performances begin March 28, 2025, ahead of an April 23 opening.
Alongside Groff, a 2024 Tony Award winner for Merrily We Roll Along, the Just in Time Broadway cast includes Tony Award winner Michele Pawk, Joe Barbara, Lance Roberts, Caesar Samayoa, Christine Cornish, Julia Grondin, Valeria Yamin, John Treacy Egan, Tari Kelly, Matt Magnusson, Khori Michelle Petinaud, and Larkin Reilly.
Developed and directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Just in Time will transform the theatre into a swinging nightclub, making the show about Darin's life and career a semi-immersive experience. The story of how Darin went from a songwriter to a teen idol to a global phenomenon — all in a very short life — is set to his hit songs like "Splish Splash," “Beyond The Sea,” “Dream Lover,” and “Just In Time.”
The show has a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver, based on an original concept by Ted Chapin; music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick, and choreography by Shannon Lewis.
Additional cast and creative team members have yet to be announced.
