My Son's A Queer (But What Can You Do?), a solo show written and performed by Rob Madge, will make its NYC premiere off Broadway at New York City Center from June 13-15 only.

My Son's A Queer dramatizes Madge's childhood and how their family supported Madge's love for Disney and theatre — and their queer identity. Madge uses stories, songs, and VHS tapes, to share their story of self-discovery and the crucial role their family's acceptance played in it.

Following a hit run in London that earned Madge an Olivier Award nomination for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play, My Son's A Queer was initially set to make its stateside debut on Broadway in spring 2024 before the engagement was indefinitely postponed.

London Theatre's four-star review hailed the show as "a 75-minute celebration of being your best and truest self."

Luke Sheppard (& Juliet) directs My Son's A Queer, which features songs by Pippa Cleary (The Great British Bake Off Musical). The creative team also includes scenic and costume designer Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting designer Jai Morjaria, sound designer Tingying Dong, video designer George Reeve, and orchestrator Simon Nathan.
