Bebe Neuwirth

Bebe Neuwirth stars as Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre from April 1, 2024.

Neuwirth's Broadway career spans decades, beginning with her debut performance in the original 1975 production of A Chorus Line. She is best known, however, for her many performances in shows associated with Bob Fosse, including the revues Dancin' and Fosse and the musicals Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees, and now Cabaret. She is perhaps best known, however, for originating the role of Velma Kelly in the 1996 revival production of Chicago, which is still running on Broadway today.

Neuwirth's other New York theatre roles include Morticia Addams in The Addams Family and Nana in Sarah Silverman's The Bedwetter.
