Allison Considine

Allison Considine is a Brooklyn-based writer and editor. Her writing has appeared in American Theatre magazine, Backstage, Broadway Style Guide, and TDF Stages. She contributed to the book American Theatre Wing, An Oral History: 100 Years, 100 Voices, 100 Million Miracles, a 100-year history on the celebrated organization behind the Tony Awards.

It was a community theatre production of Winnie the Pooh at age 3 that sparked Allison's interest in theatre. She went on to study acting at Pace University in New York City and completed a training intensive with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Some of her favorite onstage credits include playing Louise in a production of Gypsy alongside Austin Pendleton and performing at London's Hackney Empire with the National Youth Theatre.

After college, Allison took a sidestep from acting and turned her attention to arts journalism, which allows her to explore the creative process behind the stage magic. She enjoys connecting with emerging theatre professionals and educators about theatre training — and, of course, seeing it all come together on stage. Some of her favorite Broadway shows in recent years include SIX, Matilda the Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.
