Allison Russell is an eight-time Grammy-nominated folk and Americana songwriter and musician. Her first album, Outside Child, and its single "Nightflyer" collectively received three nominations, and her second album, The Returner, received five. Among those five, she won the Grammy for Best American Roots Performance for the single "Eve Was Black."
Additional honors include four Canadian Folk Music Awards, two Juno Awards, and two nominations for the Polaris Music Prize.
Prior to her solo career, she performed in the girl groups Po' Girl, Birds of Chicago, Our Native Daughters, and Sisters of the Strawberry Moon.
She made her Broadway debut as Persephone in Hadestown in 2024.
